25 word pitch development

We came up with our original pitch after brainstorming initial ideas as a group. This pitch is shown below:
However after developments to our idea our storyline has changed, luckily this change is only minor and doesn't affect any other work we have done so far. Our storyline still contains 'two men' and 'one girl' however the protagonist is no longer in a situation where he has to 'run away fast' however he does have to run fast to save the woman he loves.

In order to make the pitch match the developed synopsis I simply removed the word 'away'. Now both the synopsis and pitch match and work togther:

His love for her is strong enough to kill.
Two men.

One girl.
One Obsession.
One love and One cynical plan.
Run  fast.

The Result....

The poll has been on our blog for a week and is no longer taking any responses. These are the results from the poll for the title of our film. It shows the clear winner...

 'Race Against Time.'

Production Logo Ideas

General  Production Logo Research
We began by looking at current production logos that were not specified to a certain genre (branded logos).
Examples of general production logos included:

All of the examples include the name of the production company and are fairly basic. Universal studios logo contains an image of the world which could suggest its global appeal and variety of genres of films that it produces. Working Title contains a circle which may suggest unity and finally Warner Bros. contains the initials W B and has a background of clouds which makes it easily recognisable to an audience and may make them watch the trailer being advertised due to its association with the production company.

Black Magic and Millions Productions are general production logo's that can be used universally for any genre.

Changing Faces and Chasing Cars are branded logo's for specific genre's such as 'Action' or a 'Drama'  although, it could be argued that they could also be used universally as they are not relating to a story line and are therefore not restricting.

Black Magic Productions: We thought that this logo could be used widely as a general logo due to its simplicity. However, the name of the production company could imply that the films produced by the company are children/magic films. Therefore we have decided not to use this as our production logo.

Millions Productions: this logo could also be used as a general logo, but unlike Black Magic productions the name of the production company is not restricting to the genre of films that can be produced by the company. We felt tha
t this would look more effective if the name was animated and that the name would be in gold lettering so that it would glitter. We feel that this will look original without looking too distracting for the audience.

Chasing Cars Productions: This branded logo reflects the genre of the trailer that we would like to produce. This would however restrict the company to just action/drama films. Therefore we have decided not to use this production logo.

Changing Faces Productions: This branded logo is more accessible to other genres as the dramatic masks can represent films as a whole. We also feel that this logo isn't too complex as to distract the audience from the trailer itself.

We feel that Changing Faces Productions and Millions Productions are the most suitable for our film trailer as they don't take away attention from the actual film trailer.

Full Synopsis Development

The Prezi below shos the steps we went through whilst coming up with our final synopsis for our film:

After going through these steps and discussing our ideas we finally came up with our final perfected synopsis:

Two men. One girl. South London. Scott Reynolds has been in a close relationship with Layla Jones for 3 years. Despite their sexual chemistry, Layla keeps their relationship strictly as friends. Scott's dark past comes back to haunt him as his schizophrenia returns and his obsession makes him take a drastic decision: kill the woman who won't love him back. Scott hires a hit man who poses as Grant Smith, a shady business man who engages in a sexual relationship with Layla to reel her into a death trap. When Scott has a moment of realisation, Scott finds himself in a life and death situation with a race against time to save the one he loves from himself.

The Vote....

As a group we dicussed possible film titles which would fit with our idea and film synopsis. We came up with six different ideas. We tried to connect each of the ideas to an aspect of our film. I then made a poll and sent out the link to a variety of different people and asked them to read our synopsis and choose the name which they believed suited  our films synopsis the most. Below is the poll which I made, the poll will be open for a week untill we annouce the film title which has been chosen most popular.

Initial Ideas 2

Above is our spider diagram of our initial ideas for our film trailer, we came up with the name 'Runaway' after discussing vague plot ideas. We also included ideas for characters, shots, the age certificate and props. We will use these ideas as a basic guideline for our trailer.
