Production Logo Ideas

General  Production Logo Research
We began by looking at current production logos that were not specified to a certain genre (branded logos).
Examples of general production logos included:

All of the examples include the name of the production company and are fairly basic. Universal studios logo contains an image of the world which could suggest its global appeal and variety of genres of films that it produces. Working Title contains a circle which may suggest unity and finally Warner Bros. contains the initials W B and has a background of clouds which makes it easily recognisable to an audience and may make them watch the trailer being advertised due to its association with the production company.

Black Magic and Millions Productions are general production logo's that can be used universally for any genre.

Changing Faces and Chasing Cars are branded logo's for specific genre's such as 'Action' or a 'Drama'  although, it could be argued that they could also be used universally as they are not relating to a story line and are therefore not restricting.

Black Magic Productions: We thought that this logo could be used widely as a general logo due to its simplicity. However, the name of the production company could imply that the films produced by the company are children/magic films. Therefore we have decided not to use this as our production logo.

Millions Productions: this logo could also be used as a general logo, but unlike Black Magic productions the name of the production company is not restricting to the genre of films that can be produced by the company. We felt tha
t this would look more effective if the name was animated and that the name would be in gold lettering so that it would glitter. We feel that this will look original without looking too distracting for the audience.

Chasing Cars Productions: This branded logo reflects the genre of the trailer that we would like to produce. This would however restrict the company to just action/drama films. Therefore we have decided not to use this production logo.

Changing Faces Productions: This branded logo is more accessible to other genres as the dramatic masks can represent films as a whole. We also feel that this logo isn't too complex as to distract the audience from the trailer itself.

We feel that Changing Faces Productions and Millions Productions are the most suitable for our film trailer as they don't take away attention from the actual film trailer.
